This is the Harley Quinn story I’D like to see

I sometimes peruse an artist on DeviantArt whose name is Nebezial (link HERE). He does outstanding artistic renditions of DC and Marvel characters (among others), and I wonder whether he does it as true fan-art or if he’s developing a portfolio to approach one of these companies for work. Suicide Squad, Another “Fuck You” From Warner Bros.

After ages of hype the long-awaited Suicide Squad film opens this weekend.  I genuinely hope it’s good.  DC villains are the best.  Seriously, they’re so twisted. Regrettably, I’m really starting to lose all hope.  Aside from a few enthusiastic exceptions, the initial reviews have ranged from “Poor” to “Meh”.  Then, there was the whole issue of the 10 million dollars’ worth of re-shoots.  Or was it 20?  Depends on which source you don’t trust.   Despite all of that, Warner Bros has kept on their game face and acted pretty enthusiastic. …

Harley Quinn: The Movie?

DC Entertainment is reportedly exploring the possibility of a spin-off movie for Harley Quinn. The idea for the film was proposed and is being promoted by actress Margot Robbie, who will appear as the character in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, and who would star in and produce the spin-off. Harley Quinn was originally created by Paul Dini for Batman: The Animated Series, as sidekick, girlfriend and foil for the Joker.
